This reflects bettors who want to back Aston Villa to win at 3.50 odds but have yet to find a bet against Aston Villa at those odds. At the same time, Aston Villa has a total of $747 in unmatched bets at 3.40 odds. This group includes bettors who want to bet against Aston Villa at 3.40 odds but have yet to locate a bet on Aston Villa at those prices.

Bet Matching and Validation: Your Wager and Partnership with Other Punters

If you place a bet at the available odds, you will be partnered with one or more other punters. Any money you win or lose is matched by the other punter(s). Your bet has been matched, which means it is verified and money will be exchanged at the end of the event. In the preceding example, if you placed a $50 wager on Aston Villa at 3.40 odds, your bet would be promptly matched and validated. If you enter a $50 wager at 3.50 odds, it will appear in the pink box for Aston Villa, and the amount available for that bet will rise from $170 to $230. Your bet would be unmatched and so unconfirmed at first. If no one is prepared to put a bet against Aston Villa at 3.50 odds before to the event, your wager will be refunded once the game begins. Prior to the event, you can cancel any unmatched bets.

Providing Your Own Odds: Wagering on Aston Villa and Bet Matching
